How I Became a Postpartum Doula

I am a wife, mother and doula serving Lawrence, KS and surrounding communities. I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2018 and spent two years working as a SPED para with children with multiple disabilities. My passion has always been to serve people.

Prior to giving birth to my daughter, my husband and I experienced two early miscarriages. Through all of my pregnancies, I’ve gotten a first-hand look at the maternal healthcare system for myself. My experiences motivated me to support women and their families through their own journeys.

I trained as a postpartum doula in the fall of 2021. I took on my first client in the spring of 2022. Since then, I have supported many families through their fourth trimester. I have also had the honor of supporting families through miscarriage and loss.

My goal as your doula is to provide you with care and support to help you thrive not just survive in parenting.
