Nourished Mamas: A Postpartum Nutrition Companion

Learn how to nourish yourself and your family in the postpartum period so you can focus on healing, rest, and bonding with your new baby.

Traditional cultures around the world do it so much better than us…

I spent the first 8 months after my daughter was born with low energy, brain fog, constipation, and a loss of libido. I was burnt out and felt depleted. It wasn’t until after my doula training when began reading about postpartum depletion and how to nourish a woman well after birth that I realized I had it all wrong. New moms don’t just need one-handed pre-packaged snacks or “healthy” salads all day to restore their bodies in the postpartum period.

After a few years of supporting new moms in their homes using principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayrvedic medicine to cook for them, I wrote Nourished Mamas to share my knowledge.

“Abby’s guide is a wealth of knowledge in not only how to nourish yourself postpartum, but why it’s so important. As a mom of a toddler with twins on the way, I know this will be an invaluable resource for me in my next postpartum recovery. And as a pelvic floor physical therapist, I would not hesitate to recommend this guide to my clients!”

“Abby, what an amazing resource! There is so much information included in your ebook, but it is still an easy read and not overwhelming. I love that you included some recipes. I can’t wait to make the banana oat muffins and sweet potato soup. As a doula myself, I think this is an excellent resource for pregnant families and I would gladly recommend it to them. Great job!”
