Once I started working with postpartum families though, I knew this is what I was supposed to do. Because of my own experience postpartum, my main focus as a postpartum doula has always been on the mother and other family members. Very rarely, would I help take care of the baby.

Each shift will be different based on your individual needs. At the beginning of the shift we will sit down to talk about how things are going, how your feeling and how your baby is doing. We will set goals for the day and discuss your top priorities for baby care, household management and postpartum healing.
